Hééééééééé,

Un revenant!!!!! Happy to hear again about you, tabernac ed' calisssss !

Alors Gaêtan, et cette config Mac, ça se concrétise ?
So, G. this MAc setup, is it inproving?
Je viens ENFIN, hier soir, d'arriver à utiliser ma carte graphique ATI Radeon..................... avec un pilote proprio ATI/AMD.
I just manage, yesterday evening, to setup my additional GPU Radeon............... with ATI/AMD driver.
La différence??
Sans/without : 'so Intel graphic feature from the CPU
FG avec toutes le options décochée 8 fps !!!!
FG with all graphic feature deselected 8 fps.
Avec/with ATI :
FG avec TOUTES les options fraphiques cochées............. 16 fps !!
GF with ALL features selected................. 16 fps

C'est quand même plus beau, du coup................. France 850 en cours d'instalation !!
It is far more biutifull, then...........  France 850 instalation in couse !!

cheers

Re : Hy at all pilots and engineers^^

Just for the fun & your info.
Our Canadian cousins are using worlds initialy from catholic religon to swear. Like the F word in English but light version.

Calisse is the kind of cup wich receve "Christ blood" (in fact, Christ is as well used as swear word).
Ostie is this kind of round & flat peace of bread.
Tabernacle is the furniture where the prist put the Calisse after use.

So, of couse, you will have trouble to find the meaning of these words. Now with the right orthographe it might be better, no?

By the way, could you please give détails on the way you manage to setup your Radeon GPU?
Are you under Wondows on GNU-Linix?

Vielen Dank

Re : Hy at all pilots and engineers^^

it should be in your Display Settings and hides at win xp, behind a simple little "extended settings" button!!!
it takes me alot time to find that out too..... then u have to look at a guide website which is the right performance setting for ur system! (Maybe theres something in fg forum or wiki, but anyway, all this dont get me to the setup i have now)

i tryd the sliders in evry combination, and just as i had them a lit better than the default setup AND!! deactivate the buffers
it gets me to fps of more than 100 (sometimes it was at 1500!!) and the cpu was running at 100% again...

so i have the fps throttel ingame now at 60fps and it runs very very fluid

here is the screen but i dont think it helps u much smile

konfigsljyv.png
thats the "extended settings" menue i found in "Display settings" menue

bonne chance
Tobi

Re : Hy at all pilots and engineers^^

The screen shot looks like Catalyst Control Center, the ATI/AMD GPU driver.
I'll have look later on.
I did not move a lot this week on the Akoya 3D improvment.
As Lionel & Dany are working like creasy on both FDM's, I'd like to send them something this week.

Thanks, I'll keep you informed

Re : Hy at all pilots and engineers^^

Hi cpt.
Following your questions about those strong words from Didier, here is the answer,
Helijah has given here a very good and polite answer and I will complete his answer.

Here we go in 3 distinct steps:

In 1534, shortly after Christopher Columbus, Europeans from many countries went to discover the american continent to establish themselves in a new country. France discoverd the East coast of the continent. Other countries also established themselves. Shortly after, the brits came and won all the battles for the continent.
This left few french colonies that gathered in a territory that became the province of Quebec where they kept their culture and religion while the surroundings was english and protstant. This explains you why I am bilingual but french originated.

Now those square words from Didier. When things would go bad in the fields or during construction (a hammer hit on a finger), curses with fly right away and it was with church words, prohibited by the priests. Prohibite something and people will do it.

Now the case of Didier. While in the army, Didier worked with French Canadians where he would learn quickly all those dirty things, being pround to shoot them back, cause he feel's happy. Dont worry, when  I tickle one of the guys a bit they become distant and icy.
Hé! hé! could not let this one pass.

(By the way while at college I had a german friend where I learned lots of prohibited words from your culture but ythis site is not dedicated to dictionary words so….)

Ho! Didier, fais quand même gaffe bordel! On n'est pas dans une auberge ici!

Re : Hy at all pilots and engineers^^

No problems, Gaëtan,

sorry if I hurt you ! afraid

I'm sure that Tobias took it as a joke & not as bad talking. He would have told me then. interrogation
& for sure Emmanuel would have told me as well, to moderate my words.
My way to see it is we can have some humour from time to time, as much as we stay respectfully & polite.

By the way, Gaëtan, "Bordel" est un gros mot en français !!! siffle

Re : Hy at all pilots and engineers^^

Sorry Didier but if "bordel" (bordello)  is a big word in France, not in Québec.
And above all we have to put to word in its context.
You were happy to hear from me again and I appreciate it.
Regards.

Bon passons aux choses sérieuses sti!
